ANIMATION SUMMER CAMP 2026
At the Sirron Norris Animation Summer Camp, we dedicate 35 hours a week to learning and creating animations. Through the process of Sirron’s teaching and work with cartoons; each student will create their own short movie by the end of the week, Additionally, we explore local art at nearby murals, go on scavenger hunts, and play drawing games. This year will be our 16th consecutive year of the Animation Summer Camp.
Information: This camp is for students ages seven through twelve, located at the Sirron Norris Studio (2860 24th Street). Camp final payment is $560, including the non- refundable deposit of $160: FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR CHILD ARRIVES FOR CAMP, otherwise, they will be allowed a one day grace period. In total, we will have four, one week-long sessions each beginning in the middle of June. WE HAVE A DOG ON SITE!

Lunch is not provided, although morning snack, juice, and water will be, please have your child bring a water bottle. A microwave will be available if needed. Allergy note: we monitor snacks for allergies, if your child has a severe allergy please let us know in the notes section of the registration. We allow nut-product in our camp, but would like to best accommodate to your child’s needs and safety. Furthermore, we do have a dog (Milk) on site, he is very friendly but is not hypoallergenic.
All camp sessions begin at 9AM with drop-off as early 8:30AM, and will end at 3PM (aftercare is available if needed (latest pick up is 5:30pm).*

***Lastly, we want to acknowledge that Juneteenth (June 19th) falls on the Friday of our first week of Summer Animation Camp. Our African-American Teacher, Sirron Norris will respect the holiday by creating art that is meaningful to us and spreading joy. Summer camp will continue all day on Juneteenth. Thank you!
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Our curriculum was designed for students in the third grade and above (8-14). Below is the list of classes that will be offered, a brief description of what will be covered, and what is to be expected during our time spent together.
AFTER SCHOOL CLASS 2025
Basic Cartooning and Animation:
Each student will learn basic cartooning and the principles of animation.This class will serve as a continuation of our summer camp curriculum. No classes until further notice!
SUMMER CAMP INTERN!
Each summer, Sirron Norris Academy offers local youth 15 years old and up with interests in fine art, cartooning, and animation internship opportunities to participate as an intern in the Animation Summer Camps.
